Application Procedure

Prior to the installation of the blankets, the surfaces of the ducts that will be used must be thoroughly cleaned to ensure they are devoid of dust and grease.

Special self-adhesive fixing pins enable a rapid and straightforward application process. The manner in which the blankets are cut is contingent upon the shape of the duct.

For a rectangular duct system, the length of the blanket to be cut should be calculated as follows: The external perimeter of the duct plus (8 times the blanket thickness) plus 5 centimeters. In the case of a cylindrical duct system, the length of the blanket to be cut should be determined in this way: The external perimeter of the duct plus (2 times the blanket thickness) plus 5 centimeters. The additional 5 centimeters of the flap serves to cover the longitudinal joints once the glass wool is separated from the aluminium foil.

After the blankets have been cut, special self-adhesive pins (at a density of 5 - 6 pins per square meter) are affixed to the duct system. Subsequently, the blankets are placed over the pins. The blankets are held firmly in place by retaining washers. Finally, the flap on the material is secured by means of adhesion, stapling, or self-adhesive aluminium foil tape.
